I had a great experience at Cafe Mexicali.
The staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting.
The restaurant has a nice outdoor patio with heaters and fire pits, which is perfect for chilly nights.
The menu offers a variety of Mexican dishes, from tacos and enchiladas to salads and soups. I ordered the steak smothered burrito, which was delicious and filling.
The steak was tender and juicy, and the burrito was covered with cheese and green chili sauce.

I decided to take a visiting friend to Cafe Mexicali for lunch.
Having never been there, we went with no expectations. The cafeteria style service is not my favorite way to be served, but no negatives there.
The smothered burritos were made to order, quickly, and with friendly smiles. Portions were just right, no skimpiness on the size, that's for sure.
The flavors were wonderful, authentic Mexican flavor, not the typical fast food "mexican fare" food places that we're all accustomed to visiting. Cafe Mexicali will be our only go-to restaurant for authentic Mexican food in Fort Collins!
