Pizza takeaway, Italian restaurant, Pizza delivery
We ordered online as we are from out of town. The picture where the food looks good is what I expected. The picture of a giant pile of cheese on iceberg lettuce and ice cold meat is what I got.It was gross. My sons pizza was so disappointing.I've never seen a 14 year old eat so little pizza. The tiramisu turned out to be chocolate cake and the meatball sub had mini meatball slices. It was sad.I can't believe we wasted a night of food in Nashville on this

TLDR; cold food but nice people. I had a craving a calzone, and this happened to be the closest pizza place to where I was staying for the week.I called and ordered a small cheese calzone for pickup and asked when it would be ready, and they said 15 min.I walked there and arrived early because I like my calzones piping hot with a crispy crust and not soggy sad ones sitting on the counter. But even though I arrived early it was ready! Odd...Especially because I didn't smell tomato sauce or seasoning or yeast in the restaurant, typically the first smells that should hit you when you go to a good pizza joint.Oh well, I quickly walked back to my hotel and opened my box, only to find, to my dismay, a soggy, soft, spongy half moon shaped bread that was cut into pieces (should be one whole piece) with copious amounts of "parmesan cheese" sprinkled (dumped, rather) over it.The cheese was cold inside -- the shredded mozzarella still retained its shape (a.k.a.it was not melted) and the ricotta was still close to fridge temp. The side marinara sauce should be warm but it was cold -- they must have kept it in the fridge instead of using house sauce that they'd be using for their pizzas and pastas (and since a good sauce has to be cooked low and slow, it's going to be kept warm for the flavors to meld and stew). The bread (notice I'm calling it bread and not crust) had the texture and flavor of pre-made bulk dough -- definitely not house made.I couldn't even finish my sad calzone because the cold cheese was hard to ingest and the texture of the bread was off.I was better off going to a grocery store and having a Hot Pocket for dinner -- it would have been cheaper and more fulfilling than this. However I commend the staff for their hospitality! Super congenial gentlemen who were friendly and welcoming (perhaps because I was their only customer that day seeing how empty it was). They were very generous with condiments and napkins, too, which is commendable in this economy. The restaurant seemed clean without having the smell of cleaning fluids, so that's a good sign! But I didn't smell food, and that's the first thing that should greet me when I enter.I do wish this establishment good luck because if all of their food is like this faux calzone then they need to find a new chef if they wish to survive.
I ordered a calzone, and my wife ordered spaghetti. My calzone was cold and tasted like it came from a freezer. The spaghetti tasted awful, too. I'd eat dog food before going back there.
