The food, music, and drinks are all really great.Like, really great.I will go back based on the food and drinks alone.Atmosphere is cute and music is good, fun for a date. But the service leaves a lot to be desired. Not greeted, not warm and/or friendly, just looking down on their phones until you take your drink to the bar (if you're at a table eating) and ask for something. It's fine, we were always served promptly when we asked.Food and drink service were quick. But if you're looking for any sort of hospitality at all, this ain't it. Could use at least one sort of friendly person on staff.Just one.and I'm not asking for a chipper, peppy, cheerleader, just someone that says "welcome! What can I get for you?" Or idk, anything at all.
The food and drinks are great, but the service is really bad. My friends and I stopped coming to this place because of the service. Decided to come back and give them another chance, but it was even worse. We waited 20 minutes and finally were able to flag a server down to take our order. That was it, never saw them again after the first round was delivered until they brought us our check. We would have easily ordered at least 4 more drinks for the table. The servers stand around chatting and one of them has always behaved like he's doing you a favor if he waits on you. While this place is convenient, there are plenty of other brew pubs close by that act like they want your business.
Boese Bros.in Sandia Heights is a great little out-of-the-way brew pub.I discovered it after taking visitors on an evening trip to the tramway, and needed a brewsky and snack nearby.I got a recommendation from the bartender to try the Duke City Steam Style Lager. It was tops! I also went for the hot grilled turkey and avocado sandwich with vinegar chips and a hefty slice of dill pickle. It really hit the spot.I'll be back!
