My family and I were super excited to visit this iconic place, seeing it in media and just being one of the places to visit in Chicago.Unfortunately the food was terrible. The cheeseburger just looked like it was made with minimal effort. The bread was not toasted at all, the cheese was not melted, it honestly tasted like a school lunch. The bartender was nice and we had a couple shots of Mallort. But yeah maybe it was just this location but I wouldn’t recommend the food.
What a really cool hidden gym in downtown Chicago land. Not easy to find.Actually you gotta go below one street level to find it.Tons of cool memorabilia inside dating back to 1934.They brew their own IPA, Pilsner and dark beer which are all excellent and on tap.Bring cash! The hamburgers are outstanding, but no, french fries chips!
This place does not need my review but I am Writing one anyway. It definitely transports you back in time.Prices are great, food is delicious and the beers are cold, what more could you ask for? Highly recommended!
