At Lao Sze Chuan in Downtown Chicago, diners are invited to experience the vibrant flavors of Sichuan cuisine amidst a casual, yet trendy atmosphere. Located within The Shops at North Bridge, this cozy spot is popular for its delectable dim sum and hearty dinner options. While enjoying a notable selection of tea and a bar offering everything from cocktails to organic dishes, guests can even watch as a friendly robot zooms around delivering meals! Though service can be hit or miss during busy times, the food, especially the Peking duck and flavorful small plates, makes it a worthwhile stop for lunch or solo dining.

This was Soo good, I was not expecting it since it seemed empty. But the variety they had on the menu was great! You could order a lot of things too bad I was travelling solo I just ordered two dishes from the dim sum part. Both fishes were really good and fresh and hit for a November cold night. It was great that they have a robot delivering some of the dishes. The only thing that was not great is that they seem short staffed, but I guess there were not a lot of people so it's fine. Also they are on a top floor so they have a nice view.
Service here was absolutely atrocious.Lady in scarf simply floats around, did not take any responsibility for the bad service.Food satisfied our angry tummies. People in festive crowns - dressed up for a nice Christmas dinner - were definitely not in a festive mood.
Poor/no service.Had to ask someone to find hostess to seat me (with a reservation). They have 2 entrances and no one is manning the Michigan Ave entrance. The big issue was the HAIR in my food (pictured) I had to flag someone to get my waitress who never checked back with me. She asked if I wanted her to take it off or re-cook it. No manager was on duty. After asking they discounted the meal by 10%. I'm really surprised a place operating at this poor service level is on Michigan Ave.Several other patrons also had to track down their waitresses for service.
