Great public beach and usually a good police presence during the weekends which makes things safe.
The water here tends to be more rough than other beaches which I like.
it is a bit smaller and can't get cramped but the views are spectacular of the surrounding buildings.
This beach is really close to Water Tower and the Gold Coast and there are great food options nearby.
Parking is available at local private Lots and there is bus service nearby.

The water looks great.
The view of the Centennial wheel at Navy Pier is breathtaking.
There's little sand where one can sit and spend time, have a picnic or play volleyball.
There's really not much to see here.
The place seems isolated and unsafe.
The subway leading to this beach is almost always isolated.
There are running and biking trails along the beach which is what people do there the most.
It's however, not at all neat.
While we were there in April this year, it was still daytime and there were people around, and all of a sudden, someone from a passing vehicle threw an empty champagne bottle at us.
It was scary, so we took off.
Be careful when visiting this place.

In good weather very crowded.
But still nice place for walk along beach .
N I think it’s safe place .
Easy access from magnificent mile.
