Barbecue restaurant
Overall a good experience. The tea was good, the brisket was soft. The sausage and BBQ sauce were ok.The punch is super sweet and not for my liking, but many customers loved it. Would definitely come back and eat again here. There's plenty of seating so it never felt crowded.A lot of the interior design seemed outdated but it kind of gave an authentic vibe to the environment.Kind staff as well.
The service was good and the food averaged out to four stars. You get a lot of value here. I ordered the rib plate with onion rings and my plate showed up at the counter with about 5 ribs on it for $11.19, ribs were good and the onion rings were even better. My wife got the chicken fried steak with one vegetable and a salad for $8.80, the chicken fried was very good as well as the salad, she picked lima beans as her veggie and they were a little bitter. They have iced tea which was good, sweet and unsweet, Delaware punch was also an option they've been serving since the 60's. We'll be back to try more goodies, I enjoyed a piece of sweet potato pie for a reasonable price.
Tried this place for the first time and it was terrible! Ordered the ribs and sausage with baked beans.None of the meat was actually barbecued.Ribs seemed straight out the oven. The sausage taste like wieners and the beans had an odd taste.Even the “barbecue” sauce was bad.
