I read the reviees and still went ahead so i blame myself.I ordered on ubereats at 4pm and my order was on the way 5mins later that should have been a sign. The beef suya is not suya! It was fried/charred beef plastered with a salty store bought peanut mixture. It wasn't even kilishi standard taste wise so i rinsed it off.I was so nervous i didn't try the spaghetti/chicken until 7pm.It was kind of bland but thank God for the sprinkle of stew. What pissed me off the most was the plantain. All stubby head parts that noone likes and it was stale/unripe.Lesson learned.Sticking to rivers and lakes am used to.3 stars is being generous for portion size and my cold malt.Maybe other menu items are good but its my least favorite food experience in houston so far.
This restaurant has the best Nigerian food in Houston hands down!! The food is always so flavorful and cooked to perfection.I’ve had the jollof rice many times and it’s always consistently delicious. The food always comes out in a timely manner.I love the atmosphere as well. The restaurant is very clean.I love the Afrobeats music they play as well. They also offer hookah as well if you are into that. This is by far my favorite Nigerian restaurant!
My friend and I decided to try out this spot based on their appealing pictures. We got there and placed an order to go.The lady told us the food was going to take about 20mins.We decided to try out their overpriced $30 hookah while we waited. It took them 30 mins to bring out the hookah.I voiced my concern to who appeared to be the owner/cook/hookah maker. With no apology, he decided to give us a $5 discount on the hookah. The hookah itself was TRASH, worst hookah I ever had! could not even smoke it.Complete waste of money. The food took an hour to come out, it was bland, no flavor whatsoever. We all know a good suya is supposed to be bursting with flavors topped with fresh cut onions.I mentioned the onions while ordering the food, did not get them. The Jollof rice was also lacking flavor and dry.My friend complained about the flavor of his food as well.Let me just say this was a complete waste of $80, highly disappointed.Smh
