I booked Aroma as my husband and Is first meal in Rome. The view was so stunning and the service was fantastic.I was a bit disappointed that my husband and I needed to order from the same tasting menu as I am a vegetarian and he is not. Unfortunately, all dinner reservations were full months in advance .I would not recommend booking a lunch reso in August. All tables were outdoors. There were no misted fans like other restaurants and it was HOT! I had to excuse myself a few times to get a wet towel from the bathroom to cool down.Halfway through our lunch everyone was handed fans too cool down which helped greatly. The staff celebrated us with a celebration dessert which I loved.I was happy experiencing all the creative tastes/ textures in the food but my husband did not love his meal. For the price, I would not recommend for lunch.Hopefully it’s cooler at dinner time.I gave 4 stars because I truly would have loved the experience if there was a way to keep us cool and order different items.

What an amazing experience! The food and service were out of this world.Patric took great care of our table, and he was fantastic. This was a truly unique experience in Rome and definitely worth trying. One note: since my visit was in late August at noon, the sun and weather were very hot.I’d love to visit this restaurant again in cooler weather.

Dear Guest, thank you very much for your kind review, we are delighted you enjoyed your stay with us, we look forward to seeing you next time.Best regards Alessandro Orfini R.M.
This is the second time I’ve dined at Aroma, and had noticed some major differences surrounding the menu, price and portion sizes. Since my initial review (which I’ve updated), I did personally reach out to the management as well, we discussed the differences and highlighted the issues which Bruno the manager was very receptive and appreciative of the comments, feedback and time taken to do so. Like any business, the business owner and managers would like constructive criticism in order to improve themselves.Sometimes when things change over time, they’re not very well noticed internally but it takes somebody to highlight it from the outside. The biggest issue is surrounds the set menu; which the selection is limited and a bit ordinary, and the portions are too small for what was served vs the price. In my opinion, the à la cart menu was a far better option, but the Hotel was finding difficulty with this as people were coming to sit down and enjoy the view but only eating one or two dishes and sitting for up to 3 hours. After our discussion, Aroma has taken all this very seriously and will be updating their portions per serve to begin with. I did suggest having a minimum spend per table of 2 and bring back the à la cart menu as a solution which works well with both hotel and patrons and removes the time wasters, and they can still keep the set menu options or choose from a selection within each course to give the guest a bit more culinary freedom and control of what they receive. I am glad that they are being proactive to try and improve the experience, but I believe that the set prices are still too high and should be reduced slightly to make people want to come back again and again. I hope they also adjust the front seating so that patrons aren’t directly facing a stranger instead of their dining partner. I am grateful that the restaurant acknowledged my review and also reimbursed part of the bill as a gesture of good will. Aroma, I know you can do better!! I look forward to the next time we dine, and hope that it the experience is how I once remembered it to be.
