My burger was great. The fries were awesome.Super crispy.I dipped them in the 80/20 sauce. After I finished i was stuffed, but I went upstairs and had a chocolate malt anyway. It was fantastic. A lot of the other food I saw being taken to tables looked awesome too.Definitely worthy of my recommendation!
Leah was a terrific server. Our bar drinks were good. The broccoli cheddar soup was so thick that you could use a fork.Very tasty. The Benedictine BLT was great with the fresh Cole slaw. The brisket over potatoes was spiced nicely and was easy to eat.We also had pulled pork and cheeseburger We all came home with extra, enough for lunch tomorrow too. Thanks for making lunch.
Popular place with an interesting history going back to the early-mid 20th Century.Their claim to fame is that the original owners say they created the first cheeseburger. The fried pickles were very good. However, there wasn’t much of them.Only 9 pickles to an order.Tough when sharing. They need to rethink the size and increase the pickle slice number. The ribeye burger was huge, and certainly unusual with the addition of an egg on top.It had a lot of flavor, but was difficult to eat.I think next time I will have them cook the egg so that it is not runny. The BBQ brisket and shrimp étouffée were also excellent. Service was friendly but a bit slow, probably because it was Saturday and very busy. They also have homemade ice cream and a variety of flavors along with a few ice cream base desserts, but we did not have any.I thought $8.75 for a milkshake was a bit overpriced. Worth a return visit as we all enjoyed the restaurant. There is a parking lot behind the restaurant, but it was full so we parked out on the street which wasn’t very far away.
