After reading a few reviews and being scared of a long wait and poor food quality we opted to risk it for sheer convenience of being in our hotel. We are SO glad we did.The atmosphere was nice.I had the Strawberry Arugula Salad (with balsamic) and it was great!! Hubs got the prime sandwich - this was the best thing on the table!! Maybe second to the wings which were perfectly cooked - super crispy in a very buttery buffalo sauce.Chips and salsa were also really good! The salsa tasted like fire roasted tomato. The kids had brick oven pizza that was really good, too.So glad we took a chance here!! The wait staff didn’t seem very comfortable and more like they tasked random hotel staff to wait tables but she did a fine job.Would def recommend eating here, especially if your staying at the Embassy.
Truly depressing experience. The pizza is just short of cardboard crust, flavorless sauce, and weird decision to throw balsamic vinegar on the margherita pizza that makes it syrupy, sweet. Pizza should NOT taste syrupy and sweet. Had a very bad situation while staying at the hotel, where a simple order of soup and salad got botched and 2 hours later, with only a small window to eat (was there on business) ended up with a wrong order and seriously inappropriate attitude from MARK the Hotel Manager for the evening (apparently the Restaurant does not currently have a manager, so someone who knows NOTHING about the restaurant other than what a guest can see was thrown in to helping me). 1887 Social House / Embassy Suites: THE GUEST DESERVES COURTESY. Anything else (like rudeness, attitude, ineptness, finger-pointing) is completely out of line. If your restaurant botches a simple order like soup and salad - this is NOT the Guest's fault ON ANY LEVEL. So trying to throw blame is absurd, amateur, and immature management. And if you RUIN a Guest's dinner with 8 times the amount of communication necessary with a wrong order and then the Guest no longer having time to eat - 15% off a bill doesn't do justice to the awful taste left in their mouth. Atmosphere is Hotel Chic (cold, flourescent, sterile); the bartender (a female) didn't smile or give any kind of warm, friendly response when I was picking up order. Seemed unhappy to be working.Ditto Mark the Manager - who seemed more interested in agitation than resolution. There's a TON of high end restaurants in this area. This is not one of them. Thank you.
This place is so bad! I was staying at the hotel and was too tired to venture out so I decided to give it a whirl.Huge mistake.I ordered a glass of red wine - they brought me white and told me the wine I ordered was “all out”.For dinner I ordered the Caesar salad - when they brought it out it was romaine lettuce with a couple flakes of cheese - no dressing - they were “all out”.I ordered the caprese pizza and when it came out it was just a cheese pizza with some tomatoes and balsamic glaze on top….When I asked about the fresh basil, the waitress said “oh he forgot” and brought me dried basil - not fresh.Honestly, the service is awful, the food is sad.Don’t waste your time and money.
