Chinese restaurant
There's nothing to complain about the food here. The price is exceptionally good, especially they have lunch special throughout the whole week.We ordered a 3 people combination.BBQ combination, Special tofu, vegetable, and a steam fish. The fish is really fresh, their Chinese BBQ is pretty good compare to others. The tofu is also tasty. The vegetable dish is just simply stir-fried therefore didn't take a picture. With tax and tips it's just $50.However, I would order from their lunch special menu next time.Their lunch menu is $7.5 per dish I could of order 7 dishes for about the same price.Probably the lack of hands in this restaurant waitress seems to be less patient, and their cups and plates don't look so clean.Environment and atmosphere is definitely not the reason why you are here so no comments.Definitely will come back in the future for their food.
My recent dining experience at Yuan Ten Cantonese Cuisine left me with mixed feelings. While the food was undeniably tasty and the service was satisfactory, the ambience of the restaurant left something to be desired. Let's start with the positives—the food.Yuan Ten certainly knows how to deliver when it comes to flavor. The Cantonese dishes we ordered were delicious, and the flavors were authentic and well-balanced. Unfortunately, where Yuan Ten fell short was the ambience and cleanliness. The overall appearance of the restaurant felt a bit unkempt, and some areas looked notably dirty. The fish tank, which could have been a nice touch, was disappointingly filthy, detracting from the dining experience.Improving the cleanliness and maintaining a more welcoming atmosphere would significantly enhance the overall appeal of the restaurant. Additionally, one aspect that further impacted our dining experience at Yuan Ten was the practice of cutting vegetables on the table next to us using regular scissors. While I understand the need for efficiency, this method of food preparation felt unprofessional and unhygienic. The sight and sound of vegetables being chopped on a neighboring table disrupted the ambiance and left us questioning the restaurant's attention to hygiene and customer comfort.Addressing this practice would be another improvement that could positively influence the overall dining experience at Yuan Ten.
Haven’t visited in over a decade since I no longer live in the SW Houston area but it was a last minute invite by my uncle that I did not want to let down - the trip was worth it.The food and service was just as good as I remember and the prices remain fair & reasonable considering so many others have gone up the past three years. The dishes we ordered were made with the same care and love as I remember and I don’t really know why some critics say the same thing but give this family owned business as hard time over their “ambiance” since to me, it’s been this way for as long as I remember and to me, the only thing that matters is the cleanliness and the quality of the food and service, and Yuan Ten checks all the important boxes. So if you want okay food at inflated prices but a “photo or post quality” atmosphere, go somewhere else.But….if good quality made food that reflects a mastery of traditional Chinese cuisine with friendly service and fair prices, then come visit Yuan Ten….you’ll be glad you did.
