We specifically went out of the way to come and eat here on our drive back home. We'd been here before, and it is just as good as ever! For the life of me, I don't know why there's not a similar Mongolian BBQ place in Northern VA, but until then I will definitely enjoy Warrior's Grill whenever we have the opportunity to pass through. It's so good - highly recommend!!!
What an interesting place. The building is a sparsely decorated strip-mall storefront with well-worn restaurant grade furniture well past retirement. But who cares, it’s the food we’re here for. This is the standard pile-it-high DIY Mongolian barbecue fare...But...The revolving cast of cooks shuffle your food around the giant grill continuously while it cooks. It’s unlike any of the dozen-or-so Mongolian grill experiences I’ve ever had before. Most plop your stuff down in one spot and it stays there until it’s slid onto your plate, aside from the occasional stir. The way it’s done here, you get a little flavor of whoever’s food came before you and I can’t decide if that is a bad thing or not.I would say it’s probably hard to repeat a dish and those prone to allergies or afraid of spice might be careful. However, my food was good on both attempts so I don’t have a complaint about it, just an observation. As for the service, they’re fast. They keep the drinks full and the egg drop soup, rice, and bread were at the table nearly instantly. After tax, my solitary dinner was $23.It feels steep but considering what I got and current prices, I’d say it feels just on the uphill side of fair.To recap; the building is gross-ish aside from the well cleaned cooking area, the service is lightening fast and the kind of impersonal (but not rude), and the food is good with a flare of unpredictable.I probably would eat here again, but it wouldn’t be part of my regular rotation.
Food was great! Although I highly suggest they add shrimp to their unlimited buffet! Without shrimp it feels like it’s missing something! Noodles are amazing! My only complaint Is they say they only do military discount if you’re currently active duty; forgetting the veterans who have sacrificed their lives for this country.I think that rule is hideous to say the least! Military is military both former and current! Respect that! Honor that!
