Honestly don’t even know where to start really.First off, customer service and atmosphere was great. The people working up front were very respectful and friendly, and the inside was aesthetically pleasing as well.It featured a cute chalk board and is in a strip off Chesapeake.I’ve been going to the Norfolk my location my entire life (my fav Filipino restaurant in the 757) and decided to try this one since it is located next to my job.The food was absolutely disappointing as someone who is 100% Filipino and was always surrounded by the food.Pancit lacked flavor 3/10.It was salty.Chicken adobo appeared like normal chicken with a splash of soy sauce on it.Tasted like nothing, just salty. The pancit was bearable but I can’t help but be frustrated knowing people come to this establishment for Filipino food, and this is what they get in representation of our culture. It’s honestly embarrassing.
Was curious about this Filipino restaurant so I tried to get some food there. The picture below is a chicken Bicol express, the chicken looked like a canned chicken with no flavor.I'm a Filipina and I’ve been to a few Filipino restaurants here in Virginia and this is the worst experience I’ve had.The food is not authentic and this is quite disappointing.Ordered to go and the server just dumped all of the food in one box with chop-suey, chicken Bicol, and pico de gallo (which I didn’t ask for) so the soup of chop suey and Bicol express was mixed, and very disappointed about that. Will definitely not go back to this restaurant again.
We originally went into the plaza to go to another restaurant that was closed on Tuesdays due to labor shortages.Honestly, this was the best thing that could have happened as we accidentally discovered this gem.Maria, our Customer Service Associate was absolutely amazing. She was very pleasant, extremely friendly, and genuinely happy to help! For lunch, I had the Adobo Chicken with white rice topped with diced tomatoes and scallions. My wife had the Picadillo with white rice in which is very similar to a Sheppard's Pie.For a beverage, we shared a can of Foco Coconut Juice. We would definitely return to this location when we are in the area.Give them a try...You will not be disappointed!
