Vietnamese restaurant
We were looking for other restaurant but GPS sent us 2 miles away from the restaurant. We decided to find a restaurant to eat instead of going back to the restaurant we supposed to be.Drove into the shopping center and found this little Vietnamese restaurant.Didn’t check its Google reviews before we got into it.Surprisingly all three dishes we ordered were really good.I would say that we were not familiar with any dish on the menu.We came from east coast and we dined in a lot Vietnamese restaurants in east coast but the menus are so different. Our orders were #3,#13 and #26.We like this restaurant.
Com Tam is quite authentic.Pork ribs are well-marinated, flavorful and juicy.Other toppings, however, are quite subpar.Onion fat was delicious at first, but quality kinda fades over time.Bun Rieu is pretty good as well, but not that outstanding. The restaurant is quite small and can be super packed, especially during lunchtime.Staff is very welcoming and attentive.
Knowing this place thru a youtube review video, with curiosity I wanted to try out this place to see if it is as good as what it on media. And it is not disappointing me.The food is really good. The menu has really good collection to choose. The hu tieu mien tay and com tam are my favorite.I used to think Hong Phat has the best hu tieu in Houston but not anymore after eating the hu tieu here. The portion is generous. The soup is tasty. The sauce in the hu tieu is garlicky & tasty. The pork chop in com tam is soft & juicy, well marinated, the egg quiche is also good.I don't eat the pork skin so they give me extra sunny side up egg to substitute for it👍 the soup that comes with com tam is also tasty. Cant wait to go back and try out bun bo & bun rieu. It gets very crowded at lunch so there will be some wait. Update: - The bun bo hue is good, the meat is soft, the broth is better than Duc Chuong & Tay Do. - Bun rieu is decent. - Mi quang is decent. - Hu tieu go is another good option if you like hu tieu, sauce is the same, just different toppings from hu tieu mien tay which has no shrimp but instead adding beef balls. - Pho sate is good, peanut broth, beef is soft. - Beef stew (bo kho)is really good, beef is soft & the broth is not too fatty, well seasoning, I like it better than Viet Alley - Beef pho is good. - Wonton & egg noodles w soup on the side is good. - Banh khot is decent. If the baby shrimps are replaced by scallion oils and shrimp fiber, then it would be good.
