Celebrated my birthday here the other night and we had a great time! We had signature sodas (try the cucumber lime, it’s fantastic!) and biscuits to start. The biscuits were great along with the butter/berry mixture it comes with. My wife and kid had chicken tenders which I honestly have to say, were quite dry.As well as the potatoes wedges being a little overly salty. We had to make do with getting some things chicken on the menu because their grill wasn’t working.Things happen. I did get the sweet and sour chicken sandwhich which was amazing, along with wonderful fries. We finished our meal with banana pudding which was so good we had to take the rest home to finish later and have more! Overall our first experience was very good. We’ll be back to try the items that weren’t available due to the grill being down, and maybe try the tenders again.

Me & My bestfriend searched the area for a good breakfast spot.People on Facebook were bragging about this restaurant in particular. We made a reservation for 11am, being the first ones there we were seated right away.We started off with a non-alcoholic southern soda Pineapple and Peach Porch Sipper which I personally did not care for it.You would think it would be a little sweeter with the fruit purée but the sparkling water over powered everything. But the Southern Hospitality Mimosa was delicious. We started the meal off with the fried green tomatoes on a bed of goat cheese stone ground grit as an appetizer. The tomatoes were hard, but the breading made up for it.The grits were a good compliment to the tomatoes. Then we ordered the country style chicken and waffles. The waffles were too dense and floury, the chicken was pink and lacked salt. The eggs had a weird milky taste but the gravy was fine. Then we ordered the Mac and cheese, super watery with no flavor. It literally tasted like just pasta no cheese, no salt, flavor nothing. The Parmesan crusted potatoes were actually good surprisingly. The braised bacon collard greens tasted like canned Glory greens. They were sweet, spicy and tangy which in turn made the greens disgusting. We did order the banana pudding at the beginning but she suggested we wait to bring out until we were done eating so it could stay cold but quickly changed our minds based on the meal we’d just had.I give the food a 2/10 me and my bestfriend didn’t enjoy our meal at all and we’ll probably never come back.I do not recommend this to anybody that likes flavor because you want get that here.

Food was very good! Closest I’ve had to traditional fried chicken without going to Kentucky.I tried the hot & spicy version which was excellent! Mac & cheese, fries and biscuits were all very good also! Would like to try again! FYI, Parking can be a challenge like anything downtown.
