Sushi restaurant, Korean restaurant
Strange place.A huge facade with an almost hidden entrance covers a very long room that feels more like a corridor, containing generously-spaced, but very small tables, in a way that one feels compressed amidst lots of empty room.Food ok, nothing special.Personnel desperately needs training.
This was one of the best sushi experiences I’ve had! We went on a Saturday evening, and it was phenomenal. We got seated immediately, and was greeted kindly by our server, Emily. We had fried pork gyoza and the stuffed avocados which were amazing. We also had the crunch munch, rock n’ roll, a California roll, shrimp tempura maki roll, MKE roll and the flaming Oh My God roll.We also dipped on sweet pear drink. Our server was so incredibly attentive and kind. She would see about anything we need.Ultimately, this is a place that every person who loves sushi should go! This is an outstanding place for sushi.
Owner response
Thank you so much for this amazing review! Ill make to let Emily know about it!
This was our second time at Kanpai. The food was fabulous. We had a large group(13), so we made reservations ahead of time. Everyone ordered something different, and everything I tried was exceptional.I really loved the Hawaiians volcano as they light it at the table, and it brings a beautiful flavor to the roll. I had salmon belly nigiri, and it was exceptional. The Boss roll was so flavorful. We also had the Sweet and Spicy Gyoza which was truly delicious.I can't wait to go back.
