Flew in town to try this place from MI.Was recommended by quite a few people of being the best BBQ spot that's not chained.I ordered the 2 meat combo dinner with brisket and ribs.They were both amazing and perfectly cooked.The sauce was good but not my favorite.The Mac and cheese had a hint of spice that worked for me, but the BBQ beans were the best I had ever had.The Ribs were cooked perfectly, and the texture was on point! I will definitely fly back to this place in the hood for the BBQ.I was told I should have gotten the loaded potato, but I was full from the heavy portions I ordered for half the day.
Lines be long every time, but be moving and worth the wait.Guaranteed GREAT FOOD EVERYTIME.Triple J baked potato ( chopped beef, sausage, rib, green onions, sour cream, and BBQ sauce) for $17 (BIG WIN).If you're just a little hungry, cut it in half, then eat the rest later, but good luck on that.THE ATMOSPHERE IS A VIBE AND EVERYONE YOU ENCOUNTER.Hands down #1 go to spot when I'm not cooking at home.They have seating inside or outside.The place is clean, and customer service is awesome as well.
I can see why this is a staple in Houston for BBQ.I wasn't blown away but was pretty good compared to my last review of another BBQ place that earned a 👎 There was a line but went pretty quickly.The backed potato is a local favorite and it is hefty.Comes with a rib, loaded with brisket, cheese, and a sausage link.Had to grab that with peach cobbler and chocolate cake.Unfortunately, the cake was the best thing on the menu for me.The Peachcobler was ok but can't recall getting a peach and there was an overwhelming nutmeg aftertaste.But that CAKE!!!! Definitely wouldn't turn it down if I ever went back.
