My husband serprised me over the weekend and we drove 3 hrs to Raleigh for a comedy show, but a huge goal was to have authentic Thai.
We lived in Thailand for 12 years and have missed genuine Thai so much.
It was great talking to P.
Joy in Thai and the food was the best we've had state side! Khao Soi and som tom were both so delicious! We actually ate lunch yesterday at another Thai place, but it had nothing on Thai Star.

Delicious and will be back many many more times! We had the curry - nice and creamy, the nam tok beef was THE reason I kept coming back: flavorful, light, beautiful texture.
The papaya salad was another must have - I in fact have it with the beef and it was heavenly.
We topped it off with mango sticky rice.
Will def recommend

First time trying this place and it was great! Very inconspicuous from the outside but as soon as you step foot inside, it’s a pleasant surprise.
Good vibes and relaxing ambiance.
The staff was also very friendly and the food hot and delicious.
I got the drunken noodles with vegetables and Thai tea.
With a 3 spice level out of 5 it was plenty spicy. There’s plenty of tables plus a bar with beer and wine.
This is one of the best Thai restaurants I’ve tried and I’ll definitely be returning.
