Steuben's Uptown

Food was really good! There's are some items that I still want to try so I'll definitely be back.
The brussel sprouts were bomb, the rolls were very good and the compound butter that comes with it is super good! I had the Chicago dog and it was very yummy! I also had a pastrami sandwich made to go and it was super good later that evening! Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and the offerings that they have too.
Make a reservation so you can minimize the wait, especially on a Friday evening.

We came for their restaurant week menu.
The clam chowder was good, but I have had better and made myself better.
The lobster roll was again good, but not anything amazing or spectacular.
Nothing to write home about.
The first bite was the best bite and had the most flavor and was great, the rest of the lobster roll was a little bland.
I did like the bread they had though.
The house made chips were great.
The Boston cream pie was good.
The sponge cake part was pretty dense and has a very small crumb texture without lots of air.
A little bit lighter sponge with some more air may have been better.
The service was excellent, it was attentive and timely.
Our server was very friendly and gave us great information about what to order and the best deals.
The atmosphere was fun.

We decided to celebrate my partners 40th Bday party here and set reservations in advance.
The food was decently prepared, a lot of it did come out a little charred but the flavors still carried through.
The server was really attentive and handled a party of 10 by himself very well.
The overall experience was good and we enjoyed our time.
The only minor things we ran into was misinformation given that we could bring in a cake and have it put in a fridge and the seating was not prepared in advance but other than that is was a pleasant experience. P.S.
the lighting is not ideal for photos but I didn't have time to adjust settings but maybe others will have better luck 🍀
