We loved the happy hour.Drinks are 6$, they are good and bartender is very nice.But, unfortunately, food disappointed.I don’t if it’s because of happy hour menu or not, but food was below average.I would definitely come back for happy hour drinks but not the food.

I WANT to love this place and rank it a 5, but I’ve noticed that the food quality has dwindled somewhat as of late.Used to love coming here for their reverse happy hours and mussel Mondays, but I have found that their shellfish quality has become inconsistent.Their pizzas/pastas are pretty good, but truthfully nothing to write home about. Their atmosphere is great in the main building, but the offshoot separate dining area is not my favorite.Service tends to be worse there too as it is more secluded.Always a wait of at least 30min it seems so budget for that or worse. Stand out items: House Chargrilled oysters, Bacon Gorgonzola mussels, Arancini Mediocre: pizzas, pastas, and fresh oysters
Stopped in Angelo's with friends around 9 pm on a Friday night. Luckily for us it was Happy Hour and oysters were on sale for $1 each.Quite a deal compared to other restaurants in Denver.They were big and plump and juicy and a great way to start the evening! They also had baked oysters which looked fantastic but raw is my favorite way to go. We also shared the The Californian pizza which is their version of a Veggie pizza. It was loaded with veggies all cooked perfectly. On ours, we ordered extra sauce, (something I always do.What can I say, I like a saucy pizza) add spinach and add jalapenos.We couldn't have been happier! Of course we enjoyed a myriad of cocktails and they were well made and tasty too. The lighting, temperature and music ( really great music, Classics R&B) made the experience exactly what you want in terms of details. It should also be noted that I'm picky about where I sit (looking for great sight lines) and the staff was happy to work with me until I was satisfied. All in all we closed the place down and loved every minute!
