First seafood boil experience.Walked in with my family. We ordered some drinks (lemonade, shirley temple, piano colada). The drinks were all good.We got some free popcorn. Then We ordered appetizers We got the buffalo chicken and also fried calamari. It came with some tartar sauce (or ranch not quite sure). The food was really good, always served hot.We were 7 people and We each individuslly ordered a bag.(It was quite a lot actually) for a party of 7 I think 5 bags would be enough. We all tried the shaking sauce and it was really good.Really great spices. Honestly this was an amazing experience, We had an entire bag left over. The price wasnt even crazy.10/10 would recommend.
This is a very unique place.I had a hard time rating this place.Let's start with the place itself. The walls are covered with writing. Some were funny, some not.The tables are covered with paper for easy cleanup. The staff seemed all about business. They were efficient and attentive, but not very friendly. They have strong again accents, so we had a hard time understanding exactly how ordering worked. You need to order in 1lb increments. The food you order will come in a bag, and you get a bucket to throw the waist in.You get a bib and gloves. Here are a couple of bad things. You only get plastic forks and a shell cracker for crab legs. This makes it very hard to get the meat out.Shrimp is not pealed.Gloves rip easily.Comes here prepared to get messy. We got the mixed sauce. The flavor was great.Medium heat was good.It is spicey, but not too hot, right on the edge. The shrimp and crab was over cooked. The shrimp was a little tough. The crab just broke apart when touched. That made it very hard to get the meat out.The scallops were just right.Overall, I liked it.The over cooking was not horrible on shrimp, but I don't recommend the crab.Maybe bring some metal utensils if you want crab.Considering there is no real dishes for them to clean and no display prep, it is a little pricey. At least everything was a good size. You don't get tiny shrimp and scallops.
I recently dined at this restaurant, and unfortunately, it was a complete letdown. From start to finish, the service was appalling and left a sour taste in my mouth. Upon entering, there was no warm welcome or acknowledgment from the staff. We had to wait for what felt like an eternity before anyone bothered to seat us, despite the restaurant being nearly empty. Once seated, the wait for our orders was excruciatingly long.It took ages for a server to even come to our table to take our drink orders, and when they finally did, they seemed disinterested and unfriendly. When the food finally arrived, it was subpar at best. The dishes were lukewarm, indicating they had been sitting out for some time before being served. Not to mention, the presentation was sloppy, and it was evident that little care went into preparing our meals. To make matters worse, when we tried to address our concerns with the manager, they were dismissive and unapologetic.Instead of acknowledging our dissatisfaction, they brushed us off and seemed uninterested in resolving the issues. Overall, my experience at Shaking Seafood Restaurant was incredibly disappointing. The lackluster service, mediocre food quality, and indifferent management left me feeling frustrated and unlikely to return.Save yourself the hassle and choose a different dining option.
