Good food and friendly service! This was my first time trying eastern North Carolina BBQ.
I ordered the Jones Family Original BBQ Tray and it came with pulled pork, cornbread, and mac and cheese which I chose as my side.
I liked the vinegar and sweet sauces, so I tried both with the pulled pork and they each paired well with the smoky flavor.
This was a great introduction to eastern North Carolina BBQ and I can say I’m a fan! Seating is spacious and available inside and outside.
I went during the weekend before it was busy, so there were parking spots open at the street in front.

The atmosphere at Sam Jones BBQ was great and the place was very clean.
As it was my first time there, Vicki took the time to tell me about the menu and recommended the brisket which was delicious.
The fries were perfect.
Overall it was great and I'll definitely be back for more with friends and family.
Definitely worth the stop if you're in the area.😃

As a NC native, this is some of the best BBQ I have ever had.
I heard so many good things, and after trying it for myself, it is very good! The BBQ is flavorful and perfect, love the cornbread, and some of the best sweet tea in the Raleigh area.
Thoroughly impressed! Very quick service as well!
