We drive by this place every time we’re downtown….We finally tried it out and it was so good! We went right when it was open for brunch.I got the banana foster French toast and cheese grits. They both were amazing. My husband had the biscuit and chorizo gravy and he said it was good as well. The French toast and the cheese grits were big portions but of course I ate it all… because I’m greedy lol we will definitely be back!
Chicken and waffle sandwich was 3/10 kinda cold and not crispy and the chicken was room temp and not that flavorful. The biscuits and gravy were a 6/10 good flavor and portion size.We also got the peach mason and it’s okay, will get ya tipsy but not very sweet. The banana foster was 7/10 sweet and yummy but coulda had more banana on top, the grits were pretty solid not super runny 8/20.A little loud inside and kinda pricey but expected for downtown Raleigh.Deviled eggs were cold and just alright.6/10
I had made a reservation, but we didn't even need it for 6:00 on a Tuesday. There weren't many people there, so we got quick service.I got a sour that was good, and the meat and three, which was fried chicken that day.I got broccoli, fries, and a Caesar salad as my sides. They give you a hefty serving size.I could have split this meal.I took home a lot of leftovers. It was very tasty and I loved the crispiness of the fries. The broccoli was well seasoned too.I would definitely come again.
