River House was a pleasant surprise.Everything was top notch! We went for Restaurant Week Louisville and even the prix fixe specials were some of the best plates we have had in Louisville.The Apple Salad with Vanilla Bean dressing was a great starter.The Plank Makers Mark Salmon and Shrimp with grits were perfectly cooked and the accompaniments highlight every entree.The Chocolate Peanut Butter Lava cake with French Press coffee was a wonderful ending.With a packed house, the entire staff was still on key.Our server, Delaney was attentive and personable.Can't wait to go back to try the menu dining!
My husband surprised me by bringing me here last Monday to celebrate Valentine’s Day and our experience was wonderful.My ONLY complaints are how small our table was and it took us a while to find parking.The food and drinks were excellent!!! The cornbread AKA pornbread with butter was amazing.The music and ambience were great.We most appreciated the excellent service by our server Britney.She made it a point to walk us through the menu, even though they were extremely busy and took great care in ensuring that we had great experience that evening.We left full and happy and we WILL be back.
My husband and I dined here earlier this week and had Jewel as our server.She was such a great server and was so sweet! Food was delish.I ended up having a bad oyster and they not only replaced it but gave us 1 extra.Very nice touch.Would dine here again!
