We loved this place! Can’t wait to return on a future trip to DC.
We really enjoyed the rice bowls as well as the ramen.
We took our kids, ages 7, 9, 12, & 14, and everybody loved the food. This was our first time having black rice (also called purple rice or forbidden rice), and we loved it so much we found out where to buy some after we got home.
Still not as good as Rice Bar, but it is better than nothing since we don’t have a Rice Bar near us.
:) The seating is a little crowded if you have a large party—basically a large community table (bar-height) with stools, so if I had babies and toddlers, it might be hard to sit inside to eat.
But the atmosphere is trendy and inviting, very bright and welcoming. We really enjoyed the customizable flavors here.
We plan to return whenever we can!

Super mediocre.
Go chu jang was not spicy (it should be pretty spicy).
It does have a relatively reasonable price, so it would be good as a casual meal while you’re on the go.
They are generous on the juice if you order meats which is nice.
Would not come back, but if you’re near the national mall and need a quick solid quality and reasonably priced meal it’s pretty good.
Portion sizes are good.

Took a break from sightseeing in my first time in DC.
You can make your own bowl by filling out the sheet by the entrance but I chose the Tan Tan Noodle from their featured set menu.
The employee warned that it would be a little spicy (i'm not too great with spice) but I decided to take a risk.
The broth was indeed a little spicy but well worth the flavour! Good portion, nothing to complain.
Good price point for DC too.
