Restaurante El Albéniz

The place is located inside of Umusic hotel at 2 floor.
It is like open space next to the entrance of theater, so you can see people waiting for the concert start and you can also eat here after the concert.
All the tables are comfortable, and I really enjoyed our seats were right next to the window, so you can see the street with comfortable sofas.
The staff was really friendly and helpful, also really caring for our experience with all the dishes.
We ordered CROQUETAS DE COCIDO MADRILEÑO, CREMA DE FOIE, HUEVO FRITO CON MORCILLA, ALBÓNDIGAS DE VACA VIEJA, HAMBURGUESA MARÍA and PETIT SUISSE DE FRESA, all the dishes were great, I especially like Crema de Foie and Hamburger Maria.
The price was really great with the discount from the fork, we paid around 60 euro for 2 persons.
A good place to enjoy a relaxing meal with family and friends.

Situated on the second floor of the 5-star UMusic hotel, El Albéniz offers a refined take on Spanish cuisine.
We loved both starters: the roasted tomato and pepper salad (wirh goat cheese and pesto) and the croquetas sampler (the ones with ham are the best).
However, the slow-cooked lamb loin that we had as a main dish did not convince us: it was rather dry, not as soft and succulent as you would expect slow-cooked meat to be.
The fantastic Petit Suisse dessert was some consolation, though.

Service and atmosphere amazing but there's a lot of room for improvement when it comes to the menu.
The tomato salad we ordered was tiny and octupus and tuna were just weird the sauces made no sense and the octopus was not tender at all.
Could potentially go back but just for a drink.
No where near to a 5* hotel restaurant, I am afraid.
