Railroad Fish and Chips in Old Town Sacramento is a must-visit if you're craving a satisfying basket of fish and chips.
While it may not be the absolute best I've ever had, it certainly ranks high on my list.
The breading on the fish was impeccably crispy and bursting with flavor, while the fish itself remained delightfully moist.
The fries, cooked to order, were the perfect accompaniment and hit the spot just right.
Surprisingly, the standout for me was the tartar sauce - incredibly flavorful and the perfect complement to the meal.
Whether you're looking for a quick bite between shopping sprees or simply craving some classic comfort food, Railroad Fish and Chips is sure to hit the spot.

I went on a Monday so I had the advantage of it not being busy.
I ordered the fish tacos but the woman heard me say fish & chips 🤷‍♀️.
I went with the mishap because it wasn’t too big of a deal and the fish & chips turned out to be really good! I especially liked the tartar sauce lol.
I would definitely go back.

Overall it wasn't that bad, FOOD was okay, very salty.
SERVICE was okay, a lot of people expected to be slow.
ATMOSPHERE was the BEST! Especially in winter (beginning of December) all the lights and Christmas scene! 🍔🥗🎄🚂
