Don’t think I can say enough about how amazing this place is! They are VERY busy at dinner but service was great and food was AMAZING! First time going so we had to try a little of everything! We also had the ricotta dumplings which were so good we didn’t get a picture of them! The large tables seats several smaller (2 and 4 ppl) parties an/or larger groups.I loved the atmosphere!
The pies were tasty and I ended up finishing all of my pizza at once! I enjoyed the pizza combinations and the ability to add/take away certain toppings.Definitely would like to go again and try out different pies to find the perfect one for me. The atmosphere was fine, but the music was quite loud and the rooms (main and bar area) were very echoey.Because of that it was hard to have conversations without having to yell, which kinda ruined the vibe.
I’ve enjoyed all the pizzas that I’ve gotten from Toro, although on occasion I feel like the rotating menu inevitably leaves some trips with less inspired pizzas.I think it offers both the most creative and luxurious pizza in Durham, but I don’t think that necessarily makes it the best.Service can also be slow and underwhelming.Overall worth a trip to try them out, but I would suggest checking the menu to see what they have before
