Love, love this latin food.I ordered the chicken with rice and beans, and my husband ordered the red snapper.We both loved it.The sangria is also great.
The environment was clean, inviting, and the food was very flavorful.For the appetizer, I purchased a chicken empanada, and for the main course, chicken tacos with rice and beans.Service was quick.I received the appetizer first, and my first impression was that the crust of the empanada was oily and greasy.The same was true for the tacos; their shells were slightly oily.I recall tasting the cooking oil, which was not overpowering but still present.I was not pleased with this aspect, making the crust and shell the less favorable parts of my dining experience. On the other hand, once you get past these negatives, the chicken is well-seasoned and very tasty.I removed the taco shell, mixed the rice, beans, and chicken from the tacos with the green sauce, and had a delightful lunch.Overall, the chicken was divine.I would go back, but next time, I’ll try the chicken portions and avoid anything with a shell or crust.
PioPio Chicken has been a mainstay option when we are looking for something different in our meal options.The food is always good and the service is congeal and pleasant.
