Probably the worst Vietnamese food I've had so far. The pho had almost no veggies, all of which fit in a closed hand. And no jalapeno at all.The broth was fake from bullion, super salty and nearly inedible. The brisket was dry and super thin, this was obvious just a cheap cut of meat boiled to death. The rice plate was a joke. The meat was not grilled at all, just cooked in a pot, super dry and grainy, gets almost pasty when you eat it.But the part that kills me is that this original point of this classic dish was to eat it with you hands making little bites with the lettuce. They literally put in a 2"x3" piece of lettuce, and a tiny translucent slice of tomato that was cut yesterday. There is more I could say about what was bad about the food, much more, but you get the idea. My take away from this meal is that it's just fake Vietnamese junk food for Americans. These places have popped up all over Austin after Pho got popular. I would kinda understand if they were struggling from wholesale prices going up with inflation, but the prices have been raised. There is no reason so serve this level of food with this prices. It was 3 entries and spring rolls for nearly $60 WITH Dash Pass. It just unacceptable. This was supposed to be my treat to myself for finishing a bunch of work and before I have jaw surgery and can't eat whole food for 2 months. Its just rude to put this kinda junk out to the public. If you are unwilling or can't afford to serve a basic minimum if quality, you should close your business, seriously.I had 3 restaurants in my family and I have a lot of patience and compassion for owners, but this is too much.
Officially found the best Pho in Austin! The chef told us that he has been perfecting his Pho recipe for the last 20 years and you can definitely tell : the broth is flavorful, rich, deep and not comparable to any other one we've tried so far in Austin. Just trust me, you will be convinced on your first sip! The owners are adorable, very friendly and caring which made us feel welcomed. We will definitely come back. Bonus : they open until midnight!
This place has excellent soup.Very light not too greasy. The spring rolls were exceptional as well! Service was a little slow but good food made it worth the wait.
