Afghan Village Restaursnt newly opened in July 2023, is the single restaurant in Austin, TX serving Afghan food.
My first time trying this cuisine and it won’t be my last.
I would fully support trying all these dishes if you visit! - Kabuli palau 16.99: braised lamb shank in rice with raisins & carrots - Chapli kebab 14.99: ground beef patties - Goat karahi 20.99: goat curry with tomato-based gravy - Tandoori naan

This is a true 5/5 for me.
Automatically shot up to one of the best food experiences I've had in Austin this year.
The food was delicious, and reasonably priced. We had the Chapli Kebab and Chicken Karahi, and both were excellent.
Full of flavor and fresh.
The bread was freshly made as well. The ambiance is quite modest, but I like it that way.
The food is what really stands out!
