Penn Station East Coast Subs

My soul needed this today. Was having a bummer day and decided to stop by for my first time and to say I was blown away would be an understatement.
As soon as you walk in the atmosphere is upbeat and welcoming.
You immediately are greeted as you walk in and have a chance to look at their plethora of options.
The service was was fast and the casual conversation with those on the line was pleasant and really made my day. Then I actually got my sandwich and took it by and it filled me with warmth and happiness in a way I was not expecting.
It sounds a bit cliche but it really just made me feel like I was at home and any restaurant that can do that is truly putting their heart and soul into it and I commend Penn station for everything they do because they are not only delicious, they are fulfilling.

We ordered take out here while visiting Chattanooga.
We don’t have a Penn Station near our home so we were excited to have it for dinner.
Talk about disappointment! These were THE WORST sandwiches we have eaten at any Penn station.
We ordered two grilled Dagwoods (grilled vegetarian sub) with no mushroom, tomatoes or pickle on one of them and the other all the fixings.
As you can see in the photos, the sandwiches were basically cheese, green peppers, an onion lathered with mustard and some mayo.
It was giving pretzel vibes since we could only taste mustard and bread.
Literally the only reason I gave two stars was the staff were so polite.
When I called back the next day for a refund, I was told it would need approval from the owners.
I never received the refund or a return call.
If you order to go, CHECK THE ORDER before you leave so you’re not eating a pretzel with mustard 😑

This is the cleanest restaurant and bathroom I think I've ever been in.
The bread for the subs is so good! Just lightly crusty on the outside and soft on the inside.
I ordered the Turkey Bacon Ranch grilled, and it was really good.
The Ranch is more mayonnaise like and not sweet like some.
The hand cut fries were also good and arrived at our table hot and fresh.
The seasoning reminded me of something, but I couldn't figure out what.
We got a large and it was more than enough for 2 people.
My husband ordered the classic Italian sub grilled.
He thought that the meat combination was good and was glad that the ham wasn't sweet! He also liked the banana peppers on it.
