Far cleaner and modern than any other traditional local Chinese restaurants in town.Updated menu style but traditional menu items.I like the triangular crab Rangoon and the sesame chicken was average.Lo mein was underwhelming but nothing was bad.I would revisit for a quick bite but maybe drive further for one of my favorites.
Tried this location for the first time and was please with my order. However, the chicken fried rice was tasty but a little salty. What I wasn’t please with is the cashier who wasn’t very friendly.I visited a second time and wanted to dine in.It took a few minutes to place my order because the cashier went to the back with two other workers before taking the order. After placing the order it took 15 minutes with only one other customer before preparing the meal.I ordered Szechuan Chicken which was really good. Not sure if I will return because of poor customer service. The cashier seemed to have an attitude. The cost is high because of two meals.
I really don't like having to leave bad reviews for any restaurant, but I figure if they don't hear what they're doing wrong, they'll never have a chance to improve. I ordered delivery of the lunch-priced orange chicken with fried rice, and a small hot & sour soup.It was only about 1:45pm so I thought it would be early enough in the day that the soup wouldn't have sat long enough to be thick and goopy (due to being continuously heated while containing cornstarch).I was completely wrong. When my order came I found the soup to be the consistency of half melted jelly.I can't eat it, and I'm fairly certain that no soup is supposed to be that thick.I don't even have any chicken broth to try to thin it with, and I hate having to do that anyway because it dilutes the flavor. Furthermore, while writing this review and eating, I found several pieces of chicken at the bottom of the container that taste foul, and I'm not talking as in poultry. This might be the straw that breaks the camel's back for me.Panda Inn enjoys being surrounded by several neighborhoods, so they should have plenty of traffic.Unfortunately, I've seen them deteriorate over the last few years, and I doubt they'll be open much longer unless the quality of their food improves.Soup should not sit until it's practically solid.Make a fresh pot! Don't hide half spoiled pieces of food at the bottom of the pile and think they won't be noticed. I can't believe I just spent $28 for a simple meal that I found I couldn't eat a third of.
