At Mr G's Bar-B-Que in Corpus Christi, Texas, you'll find a blend of tradition and hospitality, brought to life by Julie, the dedicated owner. Though this no-frills spot scores well for character, some diners have noted inconsistencies in portion sizes and flavor. While the two-meat plate featuring brisket and ribs is a popular choice, the quality can vary, leaving some craving a bit more punch. With plans for a revamped atmosphere, this local staple continues to stir conversation—delicious food is just part of the journey!

September 01, 2024Mr G's Bar-B-Que offered a promising experience with its cozy, hole-in-the-wall vibe. I ordered the pork ribs and brisket combo. While the brisket had a nice smoky flavor, the portion sizes left much to be desired. For $20, I expected more than just a couple of small slices.
The homemade BBQ sauce was more like salsa, which threw me off a bit. 🍖 Despite the mixed bag, I did appreciate the historic touches and Julie’s welcoming nature. It’s worth a try if you’re nearby, but be prepared for some quirks! What's your go-to BBQ dish?
