The first thing I need to say here is there is no sign on the outside, so you need to know where it is, or follow your GPS.Also, be aware it is cash only.Of course I showed up with no cash, but they have an ATM inside.The staff are really friendly.Atmosphere is quite cool, and the kind of place I thoroughly enjoy.My burger was great, and it and the fries came out hot.I put a couple of pictures in here of how you get to the restroom, so be forewarned there are steps down to it.
We’ve been coming here for years. We decided to ride the bike there for lunch. We arrived around 11:40, ordered 2 drinks and told the waitress we were expecting 2 more. Our drinks arrived soon thereafter. But after that….Service was horrible! Our friends arrived at noon. The waitress never came back to our table to get their drink orders. Finally, my husband left the table to fetch her. At that time we ordered our lunch. It took well over an hour for us to get our food… and that’s after my husband got up twice to track down our waitress. I should also point out that people who arrived after us… got their food before we did. I understand this place is under new management. The prices have almost doubled…. But the burgers are the same size as always. And the service has certainly gone down hill. I never thought I’d be leaving a bad review for Monks… a place we’ve always loved. 👎
Had a great burger here, nice experience! Cold beer.
