My fiance and I drove two hours to mass for date night because we were craving Dominican food and there's nothing in our area. The rice and beans and coconut sauce were amazing but I was really disappointed with the service. Our waitress greeted our table and got us water and we were going to order la insuperable for us both to share and the waitress said she could make it a smaller version considering it is supposedly a dish for 20ppl.I told her it's ok if it takes longer since I know it's a larger amount of food.We were happy with that and she brought us our rice and beans first and it was great.Fast forward literally an hour and 30min later and she hasn't looked in our direction, refilled waters, or brought us the rest of our food. One of the other waitresses went over to her to let her know we looked like we were waiting for something and turns out she never put in the rest of our order and just forgot about us completely. We were really disappointed and paid for our beans and left. After a long day I don't think we'll ever drive that far for date night again.
I gave 3 stars- food is very good but my last 2 orders of beans was filled with mostly juice from beans. If I pay for the beans, put them in the cup please, and I had issues calling my orders in and res frito isn't fried chicken. Today I had to update my review I ordered sancocho and got a Cockroach
I haven't been in many years and they never disappoint.Brought my husband for the first time and he got the stewed chicken and Spanish rice mixed with beans and it was amazing. The service is always good and the ambiance welcoming. Can't wait to comeback.
