This was my first time trying Mama Gees.
The young man at the counter was super nice and helpful with deciding what to order.
I ordered the Jallof Rice w Chicken.
The plate came with plantains and a cup of sauce for the rice.
Oh my goodness.
It was so good.
That chicken....the flavor.....He told rice had a spiciness to it.
It did, but not too much.
The plantains were good.
I love the Ginger Beer.
It has some 'kick'.
I will definitely be ordering again.

The second time, I ordered 'Dirty Chicken' w Jallof Rice and Plantains.
It was delicious.
The spice level was not bad.
I tried the Donuts and, of course, the Ginger Beer.
I enjoyed everything.

If a Haitian🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹 approve other nation’s food, that’s mean the food taste really good.
That’s my first time having west african food.
The jollof rice is tasty, with the sauce (mild) its perfect.
The price vs what you get is so reasonable.
I recommand this place.
Can’t wait to try other recipes.

Some of the best food I’ve had in Charlotte…First time having authentic African food and this place blew me away.
I got the jollof rice with chicken and sweet plantains.
I will be back.
