Looking for Chai Taiwanese Kitchen

I brought a friend here because she was curious about Taiwanese cuisine.
I ordered the first item listed under the chef's specials (三杯雞）, which turned out to be disappointing.
However, we were pleased with the other dishes, so overall, it was still a positive experience for my friend.
The service was friendly, but that changed after we paid and tipped.
One of the servers politely asked us to leave because there were people waiting to be seated.
I felt embarrassed, as I wanted my friend to have a great experience at a Taiwanese restaurant, and this has never happened to me before.
Lesson learned: we shouldn’t pay until we’re ready to leave.

Overall a different experience. We came here on a whim and unsure if we’ll come back.
Wouldn’t say no but not my first choice. Everything tasted good but nothing was blow your mind good. One person was vegetarian so we opted for the chives with pork and substituted the pork with tofu.
There was barely any tofu in there.
Not sure what the pork portion would have been. Crispy chicken with special sauce was a bit of a letdown since the sauce made the bottom of the chicken soggy and was actually a little on the sweet side The special prawns with a salty egg coating was good as was the steak sizzler. Make it a meal instead of just adding rice since that extra 50 cents gets you a small side of corn and a small side of scrambled eggs.
The eggs were really good in a ketchupy tomato sauce.

Food is solid.
It’s a strong 4 star or a weak 5 star.
So 4.5 star Taiwanese version of vegetables is not as good as Cantonese.
I just prefer wok hei. The hot pot thing is fine.
The popcorn chicken is fine (4 star).
The green tea with red Ben drink, 5 star.
The green bean (Dao Gok) is 4.5 star. Price? It’s Seattle, expensive-ish OR average for Bellevue.
Overall, food is 4 plus star that I rounded up to 5 star for the reviews.
