Lindy's is my spot for breakfast. It is a hole in the wall, mom and pop type of place. The waitress are quick and efficient.A lot of locals frequent here and are regulars. I always get a Spanish omelet with home fries. You have to get the home fries. The one downside is inside on the older side and super dusty. It could definitely use an update and a good clean.
We were in Fayetteville for an outpatient procedure and decided to have brunch at Lindy’s.The staff were very friendly and attentive. We had eggs, bacon, home fries, bacon cheese omelette and biscuits.I enjoyed my food. The eggs yokes were runny, bacon was extra crispy just as I like them. And home fries cooked just right. The biscuits were flaky and fresh, not like the most of the ones other places serve that taste like a wad of lard in your mouth with the first bite. The only bad thing’s I can say is, My wife had the bacon cheese omelette that looked as flat and hard as if it had been run over by a truck so it came home with us to feed the critters lol.The restrooms were outside and looked like what you find in an old gas station. You know, the kind you don’t want to use but have to lol.And an employee spent her break smoking in the ladies room so it was thick with cigarette smoke when my wife went in.Which made her eyes burn having just had cataract surgery hours before.I told my wife “it looks like an old A&W drive in” and upon reaching my review, I discovered IT IS! It was built in 1963 and is on the historic registry.Lindy’s brought back fond memories from my childhood.Which is why I gave it 5 stars for atmosphere. And I hope it gets the much needed renovation it deserves without changing its historic ambience. We recommend you visit this landmark, but don’t order a omelette lol.
This was the first time I came here because I wanted to try something new for breakfast. On the outside, it looks like a restaurant from the 1930s-40s where they would skate to your car, which I thought was pretty cool.Inside, there are only about 15-20 tables, so it's kind of small. We were told we could sit wherever, and we were helped right away. The waitress was very polite and knowledgeable about the menu.I had eggs, cornbeef hash, home fries, and 1 hot cake.My friend got the typical eggs, grits, and bacon. We waited less than 10 mins for the food, and it was delicious.Definitely will be back for more!
