Very cute local spot in the Latin Quarter.I had the French onion soup which was great, the flank steak with pommes frites - steak was extremely rough even though I got it medium and really it was served medium rare but I was too hungry to complain; to be fair here the server recommended the beef bourguignon which I didn’t get because I had already eaten that the previous night.I also had the crème brûlée which was good and for drinks an aperol spritz and a glass of rose which were also good.Nice restaurant just don’t get the regular flank steak!
We were not hungry yet, but I wanted to try a Beef Bourginon for this trip. It’s beef stewed in red wine and herbs. The one here in Le Prince Racine was served with a potato gratin and a baguette. You don’t need a knife for the beef. It’s easy work on the fork.Incredibly delicious. It’s not a rich stew, but a rather… delicately balanced one.I was so happy at how the beef was still moist and flavorful without falling apart, and yet was fork-tender.The potato gratin was galicky and cheesy, and was such a perfect partner for the beef. The baguette? It’s for wiping the delicious red wine sauce clean off the plate. A must-try when in Paris.
Amazing! Best meal in Paris so far.Would highly recommend the French Onion Soup, Fish and Chips were delish, as was the Beef Bourguignon.
