We tried a new place this evening.Got the lamb shank with rice and a lentil soup.Place is not bad and set up is a little different from what I'm used to.Lentil soup was good.Lamb shank was excellent, can't say the same for the rice. There was some kind of spice in the rice that just made it inedible, for me.Wife seemed to like it ok.Drinks from a cooler is not my thing, but only option.Price on the board was $19.99, which I thought was a little high, but I went with it, new experience and all.Came time to pay and it was $20.99.I asked about that and was told the price had gone up but they hadn't changed the sign yet.Not a great business practice Not the price so much, but they might have mentioned that when I ordered. Conclusion is their prices are a bit too high, though the lamb shank couldn't have been better, half the meal is lost due to the rice.Small 12 Oz.drinks at $3.50 a pop, is also ridiculous. So likely won't be going there again. Will miss the lamb, but nothing else.Place was well lit and clean.May be your cup of tea, but not mine.Too bad because I'd be up for trying one or two other dishes.Could recommend this place to try however.
If you want a taste of authentic fresh homemade Levantine food, eat at La Shish Kabob on N Sharon Amity road. The restaurant is tucked away in a little strip mall.I ordered shawarma, tabouleh, and falafel. The shawarma was wrapped in a warm pita with diced tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, tahina sauce, and slices of lamb.If you never tried tabouleh, this is the place to order it.You can taste the parsley, tomatoes, bulgur wheat, and green onions, all finely chopped and tossed with olive oil and lemon juice. The falafel was freshly deep fried, served hot with tahini sauce.Everything was absolutely 😋 delicious! Definitely will go back to try the kunafa.
Most excellent place. Best tasting food (best lamb shank), really nice family feel resto. The people at the front desk are the nicest
