We visited last night for the first time and I'll make this a nice & simple review.Get the snapper in red curry, it's the best fish dish in Charleston.Great portion, cooked perfectly, incredible sauce. That's it, that's all you need to know (the rice porridge was great as well). But ya, order the snapper before they change the menu and thank me later. We'll be back!
This was our 1st visit to Kultura, but it definitely won't be our last. The food was absolutely delicious! The entire staff was friendly and attentive.Every dish we ordered was presented and explained perfectly when brought to us. The restaurant itself is cute and quaint.I definitely recommend making reservations as seating is limited.
Nikko Cagalanan is quite deserving of his James Beard nomination! We were thrilled to find elevated Filipino cuisine in Charleston… we don’t have a shortage of traditional Pinoy food in my hometown, so this was a pleasant surprise! The arroz caldo (rice porridge dish) was delicious with smoked trout roe, as were the sisig carbonara and NY strip bistek with mung beans. The large dishes easily serve 2 (dare I say 3) people. The mango sorbet was a light, refreshing palate cleanser at the end of our meal.Maraming salamat, Chef - cheers!
