Korean restaurant, Restaurant
We were introduced to Korea House for their free meals on the first Wednesday of each month. We've gone four times now and enjoy our new tradition. The food is spectacular! The staff are friendly.Food is ready quickly. It is a limited menu on these days, but still a good variety. As the words has gotten out, it has steadily become busier.Plan to wait at least an hour to be seated. But it's worth it! We've shared a table to other people a few times, which was actually quite fun.
Just dinned in at the Korea House restaurant in Austin on 03/06/24 evening time.Unfortunately due to it being a free food day, there was a long wait in line. When we got to the door and was greeted by the owner, I had informed her and the staff that I had my husband's service dogs with us (aka registered service Texas American Disability act).My husband and the service dogs were denied entry, with legal documentation. So, anyone with service animals please do not go to this restaurant. The fun fact that my service Frenchie pups were adored by the crowd with my husband and even the security acknowledged how well mannered my pups were.My husband had to wait on my daughter and I to dine.I was racially profiled in the front because they sat us next together with another ethnic couple, even though we're ethnic ourselves. They didn't offer drinks they just brought us water, brought appetizers, they didn't offer utensils. We had to figure how to use chopsticks. The appetizer was cold and main course meal was warm. The only good thing I can say from my experience is that the food was tasteful.Korea House restaurant please take consideration to federal laws when it comes to disabled clients.
We went on the first Wednesday of the month so the food was completely 100% free! The place was completely packed and the atmosphere was wonderful~ The servers were so kind even though it was so busy and they had every right to be tired and annoyed. However they were amazing and brought out the food so quickly! Thank you to the chef for making such amazing, delicious, quality, (and healthy food that is much better than campus food) for all of us! And thank you to the owner for your incredible generosity!! There was a volunteer who had a little list where you could leave your contact information for the owner to pray for you :)I will not forget this kindness and will be returning to properly pay! Additional info: each table can order one appetizer and each person gets one entree. The menu is limited for the free menu and you can’t order something from their regular menu on these days. You can tip (although it may have to be in cash)
