Vietnamese restaurant, Cocktail bar
Kingfisher stands out in San Diego's culinary scene with its contemporary Vietnamese cuisine, elegantly executed in a chic setting on Broadway. With a cozy yet trendy atmosphere, this spot is perfect for solo diners or groups looking for a delightful dinner. Guests rave about the impressive cocktails, particularly the Kingfisher Spritz and the house-made egg noodles. While the service is friendly, it can get a bit repetitive at times. Overall, Kingfisher is worth the visit for its creative dishes and charming ambiance.

Came here for happy hour and sat at the bar. (+) Cocktails were delicious - Kingfisher Spritz, Golden Hour, and Favored Winds. (+) Happy hour salt and pepper fish was very good. (+) House made egg noodles - super good (+) Wagyu smoked beef rib - really good. ( ) Service was nice but we got asked how we were doing by like three different people repeatedly and it got a bit tiring. (+) Vibe is cool.Nice bar, ambience is really nice.
This is probably that best restaurant that I have tried in these past 3 years in the U.S.Friendly staff and great atmosphere.Well decor restrooms as well. All the dishes that we ordered taste surprisingly good 👍.Chef definitely handles seafood very well. Most of the restaurants serve mussels in steam style but they serve in cold and it’s very tender and well marinated.Refreshing taste and good combination with a glass of white wine. Each mussel were cooked to its right timing.Duck liver pate pair with baguette it’s also a great starter as well.Beets salad with special yogurt sauce and dressing it’s refreshing and the ingredients are also fresh.Sea bass with butter rice has pretty good Asian style sauce to pair with.Clams are fresh and sweet.Flan has interesting combination flavor with coffee caramel and salted cream on the side.Vanilla pandan ice cream has really special mix taste as well. All of the dishes that we ordered are definitely worth to try out! Highly recommended and will come back next time when we come to SD! We seated outside patio seating and it’s super warm during the winter time.Very cozy 😊
amazing food and great service.Highlights forsure were the dry aged duck and duck pate. The eggplant and sea bass were a little too salty so I'd skip those.Any of the 7 dishes I ordered had the potential to be a standout. The hype is definitely worth it.
