This is the equivalent of a run down Denny's.
We got the cinnamon roll, breakfast tacos and the texas two step.
The cinnamon roll was strange, like it had been frozen too long and had a slightly chewy texture, the icing was not quite cream cheese (it wasn't as sour as cream cheese) but not quite a traditional icing either.
It was just odd, like most of the food here.
The tacos were great if you don't like flavor.
The only thing that we could recommend was the pancakes they were actually tasty, that might be because everything else was so plain.

Price was very reasonable. The portion of the dishes were big, I couldn’t finish my Texas Omelet. The tastes of the food were great.

I've been to this location of Jim's Restaurant a few times now.
The first time, I just got a chicken fried steak take out which was pretty good.
I loved the white gravy.
The next time I came here, I got their steak and eggs and treated myself to the ribeye cut.
I know the picture makes the eggs look dry but trust me, it was not as dry as they look.
The steak was actually a bit too fatty for me but still had remarkable flavor and definitely hit the spot.
The waiter also gave me a taste of the cheese soup and my mind was blown.
I don't know if it was because I was hungry or the soup was fresh but that cheese soup was absolutely amazing.
The only time that the service was really suffering was when I went with a friend a few days after Christmas and it was absolutely wild.
I'm guessing people were leaving to go back home from visiting San Antonio and decided to stop at the diner for food.
It took a good hour for us to get seated and get our food ordered.
Other than that blip in service, I feel like most days, their service is quick and friendly.
