I went here for my birthday and it was a good choice.
I got the playboy strip, medium.
It was massive and delicious too.
Served with it was their twice baked potato which was also very flavorful.
The meal also came with a vegetable of which I had the steamed broccoli.
It was good but nothing special.
Lastly it came with two pieces of toast that were not that great but not really what you come to a steak restaurant for so it isn't that big of a deal.
I was also surprised when the server gave me a delicious slice of what I believe was chocolate cheesecake but I wasn't able to confirm.
Still very very good.
Overall the experience was well worth the visit.
I suggest if you're looking for a nice old timey sit down steak restaurant you can't go wrong here.

I was not prepared for one of the best cheeseburgers I've ever eaten in my life! First off, it was HUGE! Medium was the perfect way to order it.
It was juicy and flavourful! The cottage fries were good as well.
Service was awesome! It was a wonderful first time! Can't wait to visit again!!

I came specifically to Kansas City to try a Kansas city steak, and the place I came to was Jess and Jim's, and they didn't disappoint.
The steaks were amazing.
