I went there yesterday for the first time.I had the half fish sandwich which came with fries.I enjoyed it.Staff was very nice.
This place is a hidden gem.The ribs mean business, and the rice with chicken suqar and green sauce is definitely worth the drive.Don't sleep on this place
This location must be described through its Somali authenticity.I walked into the location with the smell of freshly brewed Kahwa flowing through the air.A smell that any traditional Somali would quickly recognize. As I continued further down the pathway I quickly found the entrance to an extraordinary restaurant that can be defined by three things: it's customer service, food, and overall authenticity. Beginning with the superb customer service, I would like to personally thank Mohamed and Abu Bakr for quickly making me feel at home.I came from out of town, and this is probably my second time being in Kentucky so the location is still very foreign to me.However, they made me feel like family delivering food with extreme politeness alongside creating a home-like environment. This brings me to the restaurants next major accomplishment which is what every restaurant boasts is its food. However, some restaurants boast when they should be improving. This is not the case here. They've perfected the craft of creating delicious Somali food that will fill you to your stomach pops.I personally recommend the Federation alongside the BBQ ribs with the mango shake, fries, and a water to clean out the system once you've completed this five-course meal.We came as a family of five, and none of us left with our bellies feeling even the slightest of emptiness. This brings me to my last point which is simply the authenticity of the food. The food is Somali. What I mean by this is that if you have a Somali grandmother, mother, aunt, husband, father, brother, or whoever that can cook great Somali food it should taste something like that of what they have here. They cook true Somali food.It isn't some knockoff Somali food like in Chicago on Devon where you have that Desi Chinese restaurant (forgot the name) that tastes nothing like true Chinese food. This is as if you were home with your beloved cooking and eating in such a lovely environment that makes you feel right back at home. They're simply amazing ما شاء الله and الحمد لله.I hope إن شاء الله they continue to maintain the high standards they've set with my visit here, and hope they continue to succeed إن شاء الله.Ameen. Come eat here today!
