Hawaiian restaurant, Deli, Poke bar
Homestyle Hawaiian is a casual yet trendy spot in San Diego, offering a delightful escape into Hawaiian cuisine. This affordable eatery, popular among university students, serves hearty plate lunches like sizzling Kalbi beef and crispy katsu chicken. With both indoor and outdoor seating, it's perfect for a quick meal or a laid-back dinner. Although reviews hint at occasional inconsistencies in food quality, the inviting atmosphere and delicious dirty sodas keep diners coming back for more. Just be ready to navigate the somewhat tricky parking!

September 01, 2024Homestyle Hawaiian is a great spot for a casual meal in San Diego! 🌺 The atmosphere is cozy and trendy, perfect for a laid-back lunch. I tried the mix plate with beef and chicken, which was solid but not mind-blowing.
Their katsu chicken was a standout and definitely better than the competition! The "dirty sodas" were a fun treat and made the meal special.
Just a heads up: parking can be tight, and you’ll need to pay for water unless you're okay with spending a bit more... Overall, a nice place for Hawaiian comfort food! 🍚
