Fortune Cookie Express is a hidden gem in San Diego's Balboa Mesa Shopping Center! 🍜

Their Chow Mein stands out - better than most fast food Chinese spots I've tried. The chicken is tender and fresh, and service is impressively quick! I grabbed a 3-item combo, which fed my family of three easily.

The veggies in the tofu dish melted in my mouth, and the balance of flavor was perfect - not too salty! Just one downside - a stray hair made its way into my meal. Maybe a hairnet would help?

Overall, great portions, clean atmosphere, and friendly staff! Highly recommend! 🙌
